WEEK 47 – LETTER FROM NATHAN

Hey y’all,

Another transfer is almost gone. It is scaring me how fast these are going. I have no idea what is going to happen. I want to stay in Grand Prairie but I’ve already been here for three so it might be fun to move, I don’t know. We will see what happens.

Ok so this week has been awesome. We have been teaching an investigator named Chaisten for three weeks and she will be baptized next Sunday. We just had the interview and everything. It has been amazing to see. She fell out of the sky and has loved everything so far. It has been so cool to be part of seeing her grow in her testimony and the gospel. Another family the santiagos are getting close and hey have a date in October. It is a family of three that will be baptized. When we started teaching them the mom named Stephanie thought that true happiness wasn’t even real and that short bursts of joy were just what came in between the huge gaps of sadness. Now she is one of the happiest people I have met. They are a super fun family. Then our two guys that hutch randomly. One has a baptismal date and the other is progressing like crazy. We have taught them three times so I can go when they get baptized and I am I don’t care if I get transferred to Oklahoma. So those are he big progressing investigators we have. English work is exploding. Spanish needs some help. Hopefully with a he huge amount of missionaries that we will be getting next transfer. This area will split back to English and Spanish so that the work on each side can actually be focused in. I have found that when you have two or more wards you focus on one that is moving faster and the other gets a little neglected. I guess we will see what happens. What’s funny is that 80% of our new investigators come from the Spanish side but don’t really progress and the people that fall OUT OF THE SKY are all in English. It’s crazy but it is amazing to see the miracles. This area is the promised land.

It’s hard to believe it’s been over a year. I feel like time is flying soon it will be conference again I am flashing back to what I was doing in the CCM. It is crazy. And it just keeps getting faster each transfer I catch myself saying that it was the fastest transfer ever. Yikes. It just helps me keep in mind that the time is short and I got to do as much as I can while I’m here.

I’m glad to hear spence is doing well. I got that money in he mail. Sorry bro… Hopefully it gets to ya soon. From what I’ve heard the postage to Utah is slower than to Texas. If this is just the fact that I can’t seem to remember to get it in the mail for a week or if it’s actually true I don’t know.

Mom and Dad, sorry I didn’t get ya into the voice recording. I remembered after i sent it but when I tried to get another one going it was to late. Sorry… I really do love y’all

Most of our time this week has been spent with the people I talked about above. We have done a little bit of service and stuff ion the side like mowing and weed whacking. But other than that. We have had a lot of teaching appointments to get these people ready for baptism.

Well love y’all so much
Hope you have an awesome week.

Nate and Spence
